Which Mylar bag size should I buy?
Start with the Multi-Size kit for pantry staples. Choose 1-gallon bags for rice, beans and flour, and 5-gallon bags to line buckets for bulk food.
How many oxygen absorbers do I need?
We recommend 400cc per gallon. Using extra cc is never a problem, so you can't overdo it.
How long will food last in Mylar bags?
Foods with less than 10% moisture content store best in Mylar, up to 30 years, when sealed with an oxygen absorber.
What's the difference between gusset and flat bags?Gusset or flat bags?
Gusset bags stand up for easy filling and have a resealable zipper. Flat bags are heat-sealed pouches that pack compactly.
